Erinka

Born in Morioka, Iwate. Deeply influenced by the tango restaurant her parents often visited, she began playing the violin at the age of three. After graduating from Morioka Shirayuri Gakuen elementary, junior high and high schools, she entered the Toho Gakuen School of Music as a violin major.

She performs widely: concerts, TV and radio, cruise ships, recording sessions, private parties and support for other artists. She is also the manager and resident violinist of a music bar in Tokyo, and as a teacher she nurtures the next generation of musicians.

She keeps sharing how important it is for musicians to move their bodies, and the endurance it takes to keep running. Known as “The Running Violinist,” she appears as a guest at marathons and other events, and has completed a full marathon with the support of ASICS.

She regularly visits an animal shelter in Iitate Village, Fukushima, where she volunteers actively. She also performs often at kindergartens and nursing homes, giving back to society through music.
